Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Remote IT Support Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional technical support to our clients and internal teams, ensuring that all IT issues are resolved efficiently and effectively. You will be the first point of contact for users seeking technical assistance over the phone, email, or chat.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide timely and effective technical support to clients and team members via various communication channels (phone, email, live chat).
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
- Assist users with account setup, configuration, and maintenance of devices.
- Document all support interactions and maintain accurate records of issues and resolutions in the ticketing system.
- Educate users on IT best practices and software applications.
- Collaborate with other IT staff and departments to resolve complex issues.
- Stay updated with the latest technology trends and advancements to provide informed support.
- Participate in training sessions and continuous learning to enhance technical knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in an IT support role, preferably in a remote setting.
- Strong knowledge of computer systems, mobile devices, and other tech products.
- Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and common software applications (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, etc.).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
