• Develop, design, and maintain company websites using the WIX platform.
• Create visually appealing, responsive, and user-friendly web pages aligned with brand guidelines.
• Implement and optimize SEO strategies to improve search engine ranking and web traffic.
• Manage WIX apps, integrations, databases, and customization through Velo (if needed).
• Troubleshoot website issues and ensure high performance, speed, and overall site health.
• Collaborate with marketing and business teams to support campaigns and digital initiatives.
• Ensure all web designs follow UI/UX best practices and accessibility standards.

About the Role

We are seeking a mid-level Website Developer specializing in the Wix platform to join an agile agency team on a contract basis. You will design, build, and maintain client-facing Wix sites that meet business goals while collaborating closely with designers, project managers, and marketing specialists. This role suits a detail-oriented developer who delivers polished, performant websites across multiple projects and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and launch responsive Wix sites using the Wix Editor and Velo, ensuring consistent design and functionality across devices.
• Customize templates and build bespoke components, interactive elements, and dynamic pages to meet client requirements.
• Integrate third-party services such as analytics, CRM, payment gateways, and marketing tools through APIs and Wix integrations.
• Optimize site performance, accessibility, and on-page SEO to improve user experience and search visibility.
• Collaborate with designers and account managers to translate briefs into technical implementations and meet delivery timelines.
• Maintain project documentation, perform quality assurance, and provide ongoing site support and updates as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• At least three years of professional experience building and maintaining Wix websites for clients or agencies.
• Proven proficiency with the Wix Editor and Velo, including working with datasets, repeaters, and custom page logic.
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript with practical experience implementing responsive layouts and cross-browser fixes.
• Solid understanding of SEO fundamentals, website performance optimization, and basic accessibility best practices.
• Excellent communication skills and experience managing timelines, scope changes, and client-facing interactions on contract projects.

Preferred (Nice-to-Have)

• Experience building and managing Wix-based ecommerce stores, subscriptions, or booking systems.
• Familiarity with REST APIs, webhooks, and server-side integrations within the Wix ecosystem.
• Prior agency experience with multi-project workflows, change control processes, and client presentations.
