Web Developer (WordPress/Elementor) at Wise Bear Creative - United States

Wise Bear Creative is a fast-growing marketing agency based in downtown Grand Rapids, MI, and we’re looking for a part-time Web Developer who lives and breathes WordPress and Elementor. This role is ideal for someone who can take a finished design and turn it into a clean, performant, and well-structured website that’s ready to rank and convert.

This is a part-time, hybrid role (1–2 days per week in-office) with a clear path to full-time by spring.

What you’ll do

• Build and update WordPress websites using Elementor
• Implement SEO copy into already-designed webpages
• Assist with design proofing, layout refinement, and visual consistency
• Develop pages based on finalized designs from our creative team
• Create occasional wireframes for new pages or features
• Ensure all sites are fast, functional, and aligned with Wise Bear standards
• Troubleshoot issues and support ongoing maintenance
• Work 1–2 days per week in person at our downtown Grand Rapids office

What we’re looking for

• Strong understanding of WordPress + Elementor
• Ability to take written content and place it correctly within existing page structures
• Basic proficiency with CSS/HTML
• Strong eye for design accuracy and attention to detail
• Must be able to work 1–2 days per week in person in Grand Rapids
• Organized, reliable, proactive, and willing to grow

Nice to have (not required)

• Experience with Webflow or Wix
• SEO basics (headings, schema, on-page structure)
• Experience collaborating inside an agency environment
