Web Developer at Be Balanced Co. - Anywhere

We’re looking for an experienced Web Developer to support the build and ongoing development of our functional wellness and fitness brand’s digital platforms. This role is ideal for someone who is highly skilled with custom WordPress development, smooth UI/UX animations, and managing or integrating fitness membership platforms.

✨ What You’ll Do

• Build and customize advanced WordPress websites with clean, responsive code
• Develop custom themes, templates, and page layouts based on brand wireframes and creative direction
• Implement high-quality animations, transitions, and interactive elements to elevate user experience
• Optimize site speed, mobile responsiveness, and overall performance
• Maintain hosting, DNS, backups, and security for all active sites
• Integrate and manage membership systems for fitness programs (e.g., MemberPress, BuddyBoss, Trainerize, Kajabi, etc.)
• Set up protected content, subscription tiers, user dashboards, and payment workflows
• Troubleshoot site issues, plugin conflicts, hosting problems, and backend errors
• Collaborate with marketing and creative teams to bring new digital concepts to life
• Support ongoing updates, feature enhancements, and expansion of the platform as the brand grows

✨ Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in custom WordPress development
• Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, and WordPress theme creation
• Experience building custom animations (GSAP, Lottie, CSS animations, etc.)
• Deep understanding of membership platforms + gated content
• Experience integrating payment processors (Stripe, PayPal)
• Strong understanding of hosting, FTP, DNS, and site security
• Ability to problem-solve backend issues quickly and cleanly
• Strong eye for design, branding, and user experience
• Ability to work independently and communicate clearly
• Bonus: experience with wellness or fitness brands
