UI/UX Designer Fully Remote at BLOOMTECH, Inc - Japan
About the Role
BLOOMTECH, Inc is hiring a mid-level UI/UX Designer to join our fully remote agency team and deliver elegant, user-centred digital experiences for a diverse client portfolio. You will own design execution from discovery through hand-off, work closely with product managers, engineers, and clients, and help elevate our design practice across web and mobile projects. This role is ideal for a pragmatic designer who balances strong visual craft with research-led problem solving.
Key Responsibilities
- You will lead and conduct user research activities, synthesize insights, and translate findings into clear design directions and user journeys.
- You will create wireframes, flow diagrams, and high-fidelity interface designs that solve user needs while meeting business goals.
- You will build interactive prototypes and run usability tests to validate concepts and iterate based on real user feedback.
- You will develop and maintain design systems and component libraries to ensure consistency and accelerate delivery across client projects.
- You will collaborate closely with engineers to ensure pixel-accurate implementation and to resolve interaction and accessibility issues during development.
- You will present design work to clients and internal stakeholders, incorporate feedback, and manage multiple project timelines with autonomy.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- You have 3–5 years of professional UI/UX design experience with a strong portfolio that demonstrates end-to-end product work for web and mobile.
- You are highly proficient in Figma and skilled at producing wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes.
- You have practical experience designing responsive interfaces and applying accessibility best practices (WCAG) in your work.
- You have a proven ability to translate user research and analytics into design decisions and measurable product improvements.
- You have excellent communication skills, are comfortable in client-facing settings, and can collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in English.
Preferred (Nice-to-Have)
- You have experience with motion and interactive prototyping tools such as Principle, Framer, or After Effects to communicate micro-interactions.
- You have basic front-end knowledge, including HTML and CSS, to improve hand-off quality and implementation collaboration.
- You have worked in an agency environment or on multiple concurrent client engagements and can manage priorities across projects.
