Job Description:

We’re looking for an experienced Custom Theme WordPress Developer to build and enhance custom websites for a diverse client base. This is a hands-on role focused on composer-based frameworks, custom themes, and clean Git workflows. You’ll work on both new builds and ongoing client site improvements, helping shape development standards as the agency continues to grow.

Job Highlights

• Hourly Rate: USD 8, the equivalent in your local currency

Side note: Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and an “Independent Contractor” arrangement, the candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain custom WordPress themes using modern frameworks
• Lead implementation on new projects and deliver high-quality code
• Add new features and improve existing websites for clients
• Collaborate with the technical lead on architecture and best practices
• Manage code using Git and participate in reviews
• Contribute to maintenance plans and technical enhancements

Requirements:

• 3+ years of WordPress development experience
• Expert in custom theme development and WordPress architecture
• Proficient with composer-based frameworks and modern PHP
• Solid experience with Git and GitHub workflows
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Reliable internet and ability to work independently
• Experience with modern dev tools (e.g., build tools, local environments)
